A HUGE thanks to Pattie Duddy and Dave Sears

Today was a prime example of how wonderful the retriever community is and how they are truly committed to supporting one another.

We were on our way to train this morning with Dave and Pattie. Our truck broke down about 5 miles from there and I called Dave to say we were not going to be at training. When he heard why, he sent Pattie to get his "extra" truck to fetch us and the dogs. Pattie came to the rescue, happy and bubbly as ever, even though we sent her to the wrong location at first. We did get to train and then Dave lent us his truck to get home.

Bottom line....Pattie and Dave turned what could have been a really nasty situation into an easy day for us...and they did it without hesitation. Sure, our truck is broken down at a garage 70 miles from home, but we and the dogs are all home safe and sound, with little hassle, due to their overwhelming generosity. We had no idea how we were going to get three Golden Retrievers home in a cab!

Pattie and Dave ...you are the BEST....we can't thank you enough! A quick phone call to cancel turned into a rescue mission. You guys are just the epitomy of the comraderie that exists in this community.

Glad to here that! They are friends of mine also. Dave invites me to his home and training grounds often. Like to take him up on it more often.

Well then, I expect to meet you soon! We try to get to Dave's every Saturday as possible. We all learn so much and have such a great time!

The dogs would have been depressed if they missed training but not as bad as me when I heard today that we have to put a new transmission in a 2 year old truck...OUCH !@!!!!@@!!! and what it is going to cost! Darn GMC.
