Default A cute story about FF - go figure

2 day is the second day of FF (well, F hold for now) with a young dog... my FF table is right near our outdoor kennels.

While working with the pup - I glanced over to see my almost 2 year old YF doing EVERYTHING I told the dog on the table to do - she was sitting and moving right to left holding a TOY in her kennel run.

I had to take a break to let her int o the airing yard b/c each time I allowed the dog ont he table to "drop" Spice would not - she could not because I was not there to take the toy from her. Thats the only way I could figure it ... 5 repetitions of HOLD ... Here ... SIT .... DROP with the pup on the table and Spice never dropped her toy! Too cute - I guess FF does work! LOL

That's what you call a dog that really loves her job! That's pretty cool.

Same thing happened with swim by a few years back....pup was doing overs and backs ...there was an 11 year old retired dog dabbling around at the other end of the pond....ended up like synchronized swimming - both dogs taking the casts about 60 yards apart...where are the video cameras when you need them?

My 13 month ylf does that with her obedience.

My wife will tell her little lap dog to sit and the lab will sit on the other side of the house.

Mine do that when I'm working one in obedience. I usually work outside the fenced yard and on the inside the other two dogs sit, stay, down, etc.

Indy does that when Ralph is working with the pup. Whats funny is that Indy is always standing right behind Ralph so he doesn't see whats going on. You never saw such precision heeling, sitting and downing going on as when Indy is hoping to get some of the treats pup is getting!

Yah. When I am doing obedience.. My older gal Golden paces the yard back and fourth but when ever I put the dog I am training on a "stay" of any kind she suddenly freezes for the entire duration.. As soon as I release the other dog she (my older gal) leaps in the air and acts like I praised and released her.. Then she continues her pacing the fence watching.. She does also do hand signals for down and sit when I do them with the other dogs.. Pretty cute stuff
