I can tell you that being the admin of a board like this leaves one with many choices. It is impossible to keep everybody happy, but we try quite hard to do the right thing daily.

If your reference is to recently locked threads, we've locked them for personal attacks and for postings that could be perceived as security risks to the President of the United States.

If your concern is that we're not doing enough to curb the above, I'd sure love to know.

Your departure post is vague enough that I have absolutely no idea why you are unhappy with RTF. But you've gotten my attention.

Thank you Chris for keeping some semblance of respect on the forum...I for one appreciate it....If people want to start being disrespectful toward each other or the candidates they should use PM's....

I occasionally get on a taxidermy forum and things over there are very bad (racist, etc)...gives taxidermists as a whole a really bad image, if you ask me...

I support McCain, but I will show respect for the other side....

...I don't agree with Obama...but that doesn't mean I should hate him or disrespect people that fall in line with his beliefs....

Quite frankly, Chris, I've felt the same way as CC on several occasions. But I'm gone enough this time of year, I'm no longer involved on a daily basis, so it's somewhat like I'm gone.

This election will rip apart this nation like none before it. When sane people think it's JUST a little difference between the philosophies of the two parties, it's mind boggling.

We are about to embark on a journey this nation was founded to oppose. Make no mistake, the current views of Democrat thinking will remove so many freedoms from our society, it will NOT be a minor difference.

It's been made painfully obvious by so many of the liberals on this BB, that they have no clue as to how little they know about where they are sending this country. Facts mean nothing to them. They are purely into blind rage, and myopic vengeance. Some of you may recall what God said about 'vengeance'.

When folks that claim to place importance on dog and gun ownership freedoms, as well as claiming hunting is important to them, can't SEE what they are championing with their approval of this Democrat pair, then about all we can do is stand back and watch them self destruct. It's just sad that all of us waving the warning flag have to go down with them.

I realize many in the conservative camp are bracing themselves for the inevitable, and are looking forward to being able to issue many "I TOLD YOU SO" slams, but it's way too serious for that form of recrimination.

An analogy might be like watching a 5 year old about to make a mistake. Those that have faith in the 'system', think this 5 year old might make some mistakes, but it's only a form of spilling a glass of milk. But the rest of us see this as the 5 year old dropping the antique family heirloom vase. When that smashes to smithereenes, it's a Humpty Dumpty situation that no future can repair. The family will have lost an heirloom that can never be replaced by anyone.

That may sound melodramatic to the left, but believe me when I say, what is about to happen will NOT be some spilt milk. It will be far more serious, and when it does it will be beyond standing back and saying "I TOLD YOU SO", because we will be suffering the effects as well.

Those that are in the 'it can't get any worse than the last 8 years' camp, have left yourselves open to the "I TOLD YOU SO" crowd, and the sad thing is, most of you know it.

Atlas will shrug.
