    Just heard on the news that Obama's grandmother just passed away.

    Condolences to the family.

    I wonder if she voted early???
    Just for the record I have very fine dogs. Some of the best in the whole country....or at least on my own block anyhow.

    No, they probably aren't members of this forum. But, you know what.....politics aside....someone's grandmother passed away. That deserves some respect.

    It sounds like she was an extraordinary woman who played a central role in raising her grandchildren under difficult circumstances. I'm glad that the Obama family was able to see her before her death. It's sad that she could not have stayed a little longer, but I'm certain that she was very proud of what her grandchildren have become and that her strength will remain with them forever.

    I hope everyone can relate to this. He'll be forever glad that he and the family made that trip. This is about people and family, more important than politics will ever be.....

    I'm glad that he got to see her before she died. I just hope he remembers that once he's elected president, I won't be paying for his family trips....
