Cut & Run

Looks like the Bush administration decided to cut and run instead of "stay the course" or McCain's "we will be there 100 years" course of action. Yesterday, the Bush administration agreed to a pull out of American troops by 2011. I assume cut and run is the approiate term to use as it was used in the past when another party (other than the Republican party) suggested a pull out of the troops, that is unless we finally won the war yesterday.

There is a difference between a pull out and cutting and running. Obama wanted to leave the country in 16 months regardless of the situation on the ground.

In case you have not been paying attention the situation has gotten a lot better in Iraq. Most of the country has been turned over to the Iraqis and there government is functioning reasonably well.

If you believe giving them 3 more years of support is cutting and running there is no winning the war in your mind.

Lets see Harry Reid stated the war was lost before the surge. Obama could barely give the surge and the strategy behind it, any credit. I'm sure Obama will get the credit for withdrawing the troops in 3 years and will also state that he won the war.

Not much else you can do when you don't have a choice.
