What kind of birds are these

We were out hunting yesterday on a large private lake when these two birds flew by. We kind of looked at each other and wondered what they were. After we were done hunting we got in the boat and headed back to where are truck was parked. The strange birds were sitting on the shore right by our trucks. They didn't even notice our boat approaching them. I got out of the boat and snapped these pictures with my phone. They were not to scared of me, but they did fly away when I got within 10 feet of them. The further shot is how far they made it before landing. The birds were not very talented in the flying department as they only went about 30 yards away from us. The best we could figure was that they were some sort of domesticated goose that escaped and was living in the wild. Anyone know what they are?

Yeah that was going to be my next question... I didn't think it would be very sporting to shoot a bird that lets me walk right up to it like that. If I see them fly by next time I may take a crack at em.

if you throw wonder bread out and they swarm all over it then they are most likely park ducks or someones ex pets that were released

I agree - the full blooded ones are mean and will poop all over your yard and decks.
