Will the Feds go for a conviction or leave sleeping dogs lay?He along with his brother, sister and neice have all been cuaght stealing. His sister, who is on the school board was doing school board business with her brother as a computer consultant and taking kickbacks.
Where do we go without great leaders for the defense of our liberties? Who will defend our right to live our lives _as we chose_ without others taking that from us? The answer is, as it should be, no one. We are the defense of our rights and should always remember that. Libertarian blogger

Prosecute all these politicians to the full extent. This excuse that they have suffered enough through public humiliation is not making it. If it were you or I, I am sure the full force of the justice system would come down crashing on us.

Jefferson won't have to go home in shame though, he can probably just stay in D.C. and find a new job. Maybe he can get elected to the D.C. city council or run for mayor, felons have no problem getting elected. If they smoke crack and parade around with whores, so much the better. After all, it's not their fault "bitch set me up!"
He should easily be able to get another job as politician or preacher or community activist in D.C., land of jobs where you don't need any skills or ability other than the ability to run your mouth and con people out of money.
Geez, It's nice to know Alaska isn't the only state with corrupt politicians
I heard on the radio driving home today that Jefferson, even when he gets convicted will get to keep his 63k annual pension for serving in the U S House of Representatives. A position he used to swindle millions. What's wrong with that picture? How many million tax payer dollars will be spent prosecuting the bum? Then we are going to pay him cash for the rest of his life!
