Well 2.4% of all puppies in field/show homes make something of themselves.
Of those only 62% are males.
Of those males only 3.2% are successful stud dogs.
So that is.. out of every 100 pups, only .0476% of them will become successful stud dogs!
Boy genius regards.
Boy Genius,
Aren't 94.7% of all statistics made up on the spot?

I had a hot shot come into my office telling me about this great new pup that he just got. He proceeded to tell me that he was going to get all kinds of titles and put him out to stud and get ALL his money back and then some. He says that he is going to do all the training him self, I asked who he trained under no answer. My question is can you make that kind of money off a stud dog to break even? Could you make your money back on a puppies.
This is not the reason that I have my dogs.
Tell him all the power to him and his wonder dog on titles, but he's got several clearances to pass by age 2 also.... it's gotten a whole lot more sophisticated out there!
