I don't know if it's Congress's place to get involved, but I sure would like for them to do something to get rid of the BCS system.
I'm all for a playoff system to determine the nations championship team.

Why would members of the Finance and Commerce committees be worried about College Football? Seems they have enough pending to work on right now more important than trying to fix the BCS.
Where do we go without great leaders for the defense of our liberties? Who will defend our right to live our lives _as we chose_ without others taking that from us? The answer is, as it should be, no one. We are the defense of our rights and should always remember that. Libertarian blogger
Noticed that it was some Texas congressman grandstanding for the constituents back home, unfortunately there are lots of whiney UT fans out ther that just cant accept the fact that my Horns had the chance to take care of business on the field and they got beat by Tech...if it was anyone else but OU they probably wouldnt have as big of a problem with the BCS....Get over it Longhorn fans lets beat Ohio St in the Fiesta Bowl
Yeah, but it is a problem that they work on important things because they tend to make those things worse.

Hey since they are going to run the auto industry, banks, mortgage companies… why not the BCS? Come on you voted for them, they must know what they are doing…right??
