Default Best Marking Dog Day in and Day Out:

I'm curious for some of you that have been around the game for awhile "What's the best marking dog (in your opinion) you've seen"?

Hope there are some fun stories to pass on with this thread for some of the new guys.

I've heard Deltone Colvin was pretty special every time he came to the line.

    Thanks.

Hmmm... ..I thought this would get some responses...

Peter-I never heard of Deltone Colvin? What was his claim to fame?
** Found him-1961 & 1963 NFC, but sounds like there's a "rest of the story..."

Never got to watch him run personally, but have heard that you couldn't hide a bird from Chopper.

    M,
I'm no expert on Del-Tone Colvin, just repeating from someone I respect very much in the game and had watched Del-Tone Colvin run.

Del-Tone was a double header winner, Qualified for 5 national Opens, 3 National Amateurs. Won the National Open in 1961 and 1963, was a finalist in 1962.

But I'm hoping to hear some stories come out from this post. should be fun!
