Default Steph's Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep GDG

My wife, Stephanie, was blessed with drawing a tag and harvesting an Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep. We found him on day 6 of the hunt, which was last sunday. Arizona Game and Fish scored him at 151 6/8. Not a world record, but we are certainly proud of him.

The closest I have ever seen those were on the fifth fairway at the Falls golf course in Las Vegas, that is one heck of a trophy on what had to have been a very physically demanding hunt, i think its a wall hanger for sure

No guide. I did a lot of pre-hunt research, talked to a lot of folks who knew the area, and then several scouting trips. It was just she and I and my dad, although my dad wasn't able to show up until after we had him down. He helped us pack him out, which was a chore!

If I'm ever lucky enough to draw that tag I'll be in much better shape than I was for this one! I'm a little sore right now!

CONGRATS STEPH!!! I was waiting for the phone to ring with good news. It was the hunt test that wore you out not the hunt.

Um huhhhh! A two day chore......and I'm pretty sure the old fart spotted a goodly number of the little buggers for the five days before the harvest...AND....I know for a fact that it will be several weeks before his ankles and knees heal.

But he's damn proud of his kids!!!
