OK...it's been a long time since i had any biology classes and did a Punid Square (check spelling on this one) but if a pups parents are both EIC-clear, does that make the pups EIC-clear as well?

Yes it does.
Thanks Mark...I just did and they are both "clear". BTW, where in Nevada are you from? I'm from Gardnerville.
Jeff
So, there's really no need to test then?
Well, wait, I guess if your gonna advertise pups, stud, etc. you should really go ahead & have it done for proof then. I'm a lil' slow. Never mind.

Don't know about the geese...I'm in Iraq for another month and a half. Benn here for a year and can't wait to get home. As for the training group, YES.
I asked the question about EIC because I will eventually breed my pup and probably need to have proper documentation that she is "clear".

OK...I found the form to take to the vet for EIC but is the CNM a seperate test? If so, is there another form I need to download or just tell the vet I want both an EIC and CNM test done. Do they both get mailed to the Univ. of Minnesota?
Thanks. Jeff
CNM testing is done by the Alfort Veterinary School in France. Go to http://labradorcnm.com and fill out the required forms on their site. They will mail a buccal swab kit for collecting DNA. This is then mailed to them for processing. They will email the results back (takes about three weeks) and publish you dog on their white list.
why even test if both parents are clear. Thought that was the reason for the test in the first place , to be able to buy a pup out of 2 clear parents u get a clear pup. Should be no reason to waiste your money.
Jason
I thought that I might need some sort of "proof" in the event I breed the pup?
Thoughts? This would be my first breeding so I'm completely a nivice at all this.
