Default Credit where credit is due

Nothing personal but................Some time, just once will do for a start, I would like to see "these people"* give some original advice rather that an eloquently regurgitated compilation of the methods of others that they have gleaned over the years.
Mike said it at both seminars of his I attended."I didn't invent any of this ............."
For most of the others, myself included, a bibliography should accompany our posts.

What would Rex have done regards

Very true….some folks start acting like they actually had a hand in creating the retriever. Truth is no one trains in a vacuum and most us learned everything we know from someone else and in my case exclusively from Pros…except for the little I learned from my grandfather and great-grandfather.

Well John, while it true everyone learned something from someone else, Rex Carr included, some of us actually try and help out with providing guidance. Others just sit back and bitch.

No names included to protect the guilty.....

I like to think of it as a diamond in the making And at the price of fuel these days, coal might not be a bad thing!

    Merry Christmas....

LOL, well I learned everything I know from someone else I think...

I'd like to credit my mom for teaching me how to wipe my butt.
My dad for teaching me how to make a lobster trap, totally useless in Georgia.
My grandmother for teaching me how to crossstitch...

I mean c'mon. We all learn everything we know from someone else...

I think most people on here would readily admit where retriever training had its roots... AND EVEN REX learned stuff from someone else??? I have books from far before he was born that talk about forcing a dog and other things!!
