One of the reasons Obama and the democrats want to speed up the passage of this bill is to insure nobody has the opportunity to actually read it and debate it. Now I realize that most democrats who voted for Obama can't read the rest of us can and wouldn't it be nice to know what's in this pig of a bill before we spend more than a trillion dollars on it?

In this bill a new bureacracy is created, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology. Their goal is to "guide" your doctors decisions and save the health care system money on "unnecessary" and expensive treatments...especially with the elderly. You must go through the government (if you're old) and need expensive surgery.

Dr. Welby meet Dr. Obama and Dr. Daschle.

Maybe they should include an Assisted Suicide provision to this billl. "We're sorry grandma but the government's determined that you're too old for hip-replacement surgery and we've reassigned your case to Dr. Kevorkian"

So with senior healthcare rationing and Nancy Pelosi's condoms and coat-hangers provision (family planning) the democrats (and 3 dirt-bag republicans) got you coming and going. They'll be doing everything they can to help decrease the surplus population.

No need for debate says Obama. This bill is too important to be stalled by Senate protocol.

I have not had time to read all of this, but I want to point out the cost of going "paperless" in medical offices. It is a good thing to have electronic records and we have looked into it at our office. The cost was 30K to start. Who is going to pay for this. They want to cut reimbursments and make everyone go paper less....
Just keep in mind you get what you pay for....
Lets see the government is going to decide what is best for your health....hummm that is about the most scary thing I have ever thought about........we are all screwed.
Somebody posted it before that the government couldn't run a whore house and keep the doors open (Mustang Ranch) how the hell are they going to take care of something as complicated as health care?
For me I want the best care money can buy for serious problems

Hiding health legislation in a stimulus bill is intentional. Daschle supported the Clinton administration’s health-care overhaul in 1994, and attributed its failure to debate and delay. A year ago, Daschle wrote that the next president should act quickly before critics mount an opposition. “If that means attaching a health-care plan to the federal budget, so be it,” he said. “The issue is too important to be stalled by Senate protocol.”

This pig of a bill, good description. One of a former co workers favorite statement and I think it fits here, "all around a pigs ass is pork". And to think the senate reduced it from 900 billion to 800 billion. What did that 100 billion contain "pork".
