Default Great stuff for the Amateur

Not sure if everybody has seen this or not. It's an outline of a seminar John Cavanaugh put on. Pretty much sums it all up. Take a look and post what you think.

I'm pretty sure that John had quite a bit of input into the Judges Manual. I have a book/seminar that he did on judging and training--it may be the same one. I'll have to check.

    Vicki,

    Is this it?

I think it is excellent and wish every judge would read it immediately prior to each assignment.

I miss John and wish he was still in the game,

I am interested as well, since I did not know that he had. I met John at a Lardy Basics/Transition seminar in 2000 or so. A great guy and very helpful.

Burn out, playing a lot of golf now, and learning to fly.
I was surprised he never got the tap on the shoulder to judge a National. One of the best true amateurs out there. And what i mean by "true" is that he worked ten hour days and trained in front of his headlights if he had to.

He didn't get that tap for many a reason,,, hence him quitting the sport...
