I'm pretty sure that John had quite a bit of input into the Judges Manual. I have a book/seminar that he did on judging and training--it may be the same one. I'll have to check.

I think it is excellent and wish every judge would read it immediately prior to each assignment.

Burn out, playing a lot of golf now, and learning to fly.
I was surprised he never got the tap on the shoulder to judge a National. One of the best true amateurs out there. And what i mean by "true" is that he worked ten hour days and trained in front of his headlights if he had to.
A lot of amateurs train their ass off,,,, The difference between them and John is that John was GOOD..
