But that is how they are. To reveal themselves would require accountability and ownership and as BP has continued to demonstrate dems refuse to acknowledge their part in today's crisis. Its just to easy to blame bush...

I don't see anything in the article that calls into question the FACT that the majority of Americans favor the stimulus bill. I wouldn't say that it is a *small* minority that opposes it, but it is still a minority.


As it turns out, people across the political spectrum are responding favorably to President Obama and his proposals:

The current administration is closing in on 4 TRILLION in spending and they are not through yet! The Dems have had a majority now for over 2 years.

P S I am not a Republican. I consider myself an Independent because I do not agree with many of the Repubs stand on social issues. But, I would take the Repubs anyday over the socialist policies of the Dems. I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.

I think you are confusing the size of the budget (in total) with the increase over the the previous budget.

Also, you are probably forgetting that Obama's budget actually includes the cost of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, which were 'off the books' under the Bush Adminstration's Enron-style accounting, and so were never included as part the actual budget.
