You must not own any investments, Mr. BP (easy to see why you don't use your real name). If you call what the business world and investors have displayed since BHO's inauguration "support," I can only imagine what it will take for you to think there is a "lack" of support....
And then you whine and cry when no one (except the usual suspects) joins in lockstep with your points of view....it's really getting old, you puking out the same complaints about "this thread."
Now....here's a zinger for you: I really DO hope all this "change" that "the majority of Americans voted for" works. I DO. I'm as serious as I can be...because if it doesn't, you, me, and everyone else here that you think doesn't know their *ss from first base relative to politics, is going to be in a world of ****....and we can all count on you to blame it all on Bush 43....but it won't matter whose fault it is at that point (that'll rock your world won't it!!). BHO will have taken us all into the gutter. All of the statistics, polls, and elections ever held are not going to count for a hill of beans when all any of us will be able to find to eat will be beans....
....and they'll be chinese beans at that....

Correct. His plan is to clean up the mess that Bush and company left us. The downturn is a result of the economy coming to grips with the scope of that mess.
Not at all what I said. That's Limbaugh type of thinking.
Not entirely. I would lay some blame on his predecessors as well, including Clinton, as well as Congress. None of them match Bush in the inept execution of bad policy, though.

What's the Plan?
That's right, former Clinton policies inherited by the Bush administration had nothing to do with this downturn.Of course, Dems Frank and Dodd are innocent too. I'm not denying Bush was off his rocker and I said years ago on this forum Bush's policies in Iraq will harm the GOP for a long time.
But, the Wall St mess is all Obomo's. People with money to invest do NOT like what he has put forth in his CRAP stimulus program and that is why the stock market is continuing to tank. People are taking their money out because people with money know he will ruin our economy with the TRILLIONS he wants to spend on his social aganda. If investors liked Obomo's future, they would he buying cheap and selling long. Right now the attitude is, "lets sell now before he completely ruins our economy and country"! In case you haven't looked, the Dow Industrials are down over 5,000 since the election. People with money and brains do NOT like what comes out of Obomo's mouth and they certainly are NOT going to invest in Obomo's plan for the future, because there is no future with Obomo's plan! His plan means more big gooberment and more people and business holding their hand out for something free. Socialism is what he represents, open your eyes!

Where do we go without great leaders for the defense of our liberties? Who will defend our right to live our lives _as we chose_ without others taking that from us? The answer is, as it should be, no one. We are the defense of our rights and should always remember that. Libertarian blogger
Wrong, again.
It's called 'coming to grips with how bad the economy is that Obama inherited'. The stock market most recently has been reacting to a worse than expected report on the decline of GDP from the last quarter of 2008 -- which was before Obama was in office, before the stimulus bill was enacted, etc. And, I think it will get worse before it gets better. Obama can't just fix everything overnight. The reality is, we won't know if it works for months or years, and measuring long term sucess by the short term performance of the stock market is foolhardy. That is exacty the type of thinking that got us into this mess in the first place.
I don't recall whining or crying. I DO recall refuting the false premise of this thread, though (that most Americans don't support the stimulus).
My only complaints about "this thread" are that someone trotted out the Hitler/Obama comparisons. I will continue to complain loudly when someone talks compares the President to a Nazi, a Communist, a Terrrorist, etc, etc. It's just nasty, hateful rhetoric, and it deserves scorn.
I agree. If the fix doesn't work, we are screwed. What I don't agree with is the idea that following the same policies that got us into this mess (Republican ideas) will get us out.

Ok guys.....put the liberals on ignore and/or stop quoting them...this will all be over...or mostly over in a little less than two years.
You're kidding yourself if you think the economy on Wall St and Main St has gone to hell due only to things that have occurred since the election.
I appreciate your understanding that the Iraq war has been disasterous for your party. Personally, though, what concerns me is that it has been disasterous for our country. (I'm sure Wall St is pleased as punch with that boondoggle, which costs more than the stimulus bill and gives us less to show for it.)

economic downturn in the 4th quarter of 08....wait that was when the democrats were in charge...damn bush and him somehow being in the house where the finance bills are supposed to come from..
Cost more than the stimulus bill? No wonder so many Dems are in trouble with the IRS, they can't count.
The Stock Market is about confidence, buying low and selling high. There is NO CONFIDENCE by the folks with money in Obomo's stimulus bill. They see it for what it is; PAYOFFS to the Dems supporters.
Patrick, I hear ya bro but I can't do the ignore button thing. I'm trying to discover what it is that they like about their Dem leaders and their plans. None of them have been able to defend any of it because they are so busy defending their messenger.
One thing about polls; whoever is asking the questions can control the results. Gallup use kids right out of college as pollsters. That should tell everyone why there is little credibility with them. Gallup and other pollsters probably fill their entire Affirmative Action quotas when they hire these kids.
