My YLF has a split nail on her front paw. She seems to be in quite a bit of pain. Should i bring her in for a vet visit or should this heal up rather quickly?

My YLF has a split nail on her front paw. She seems to be in quite a bit of pain. Should i bring her in for a vet visit or should this heal up rather quickly?

Stryke had one, and it didn't seem to affect his walking, it sure made him foot sensitive. I actually used a dremmel to grind off the loosest part. Fortunately his grew out all the way and it's fine.

I don't wear black because it makes me look slim, I wear black because it hides the dog hair.
If it were my dog I would take her to the vet. If it gets infected it can have serious consequences. A round of antibiotics won't hurt anything.
