Food Switch aka Another Dog Food thread

I am sending Boozer off to a trainer next month & asked what they feed. She said they feed Purina Pro Plan Lamb & Rice. I am currently feeding Eukanuba Large Breed Adult & wanted to make the gradual change so she wouldn't experience any "food shock" (we've has some GI issues in the past when switching foods).
When I went to PetSmart I could only find the "PP Shred in L & R". I phoned the trainer & she said that is what she's using.
After reading some of the previous posts I was wondering if the non-shred, or Original PP L&R, is back just not at PetSmart & if its better in your alls opinion than the Shred?

I was recommended this http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=175431 on another forum by a respectable trainer/breeder. It's the same as PP Lamb & Rice and about 1/2 the cost. I was feeding my do PP until about 3 months ago. I never noticed a difference.

They have figured out what the exceed is worth because I had to give $29.95 per bag last nite. When I started using it almost 2 yrs ago now it was $21.95 per bag.

Is the EXCEED good for pups( 7months and 3months)? It has puppy instructions on the bag for puppys.

I was told to wait until my pup was 5 months old. I'm not sure why though.
