I see many of the usual suspects are still mushing!
Some of these people are getting up there in years, the must obviously love the sport!
It is a great thing.
I also read that there is a "Rescue" dog team running?

I would have entered my retriever team, but they don't make sleds big enough to hold all the tennis balls I would need to make it to Nome.
Maybe...... if I can get a long cane pole and dangle a flyer right out in front of the sled.

I saw something about these sled dog teams that Irish Setters were introduce in the breeding.
Not sure how that worked, but I guess it happened.
I think the Discovery Channel or VS Channel will be following the race.

Alaskans consider this "our race" and were not very happy when an "outsider" took it out of Alaska. Kind of like when the America's Cup left the states a few years ago.
One of my favorite events!
We release a dog and stand there to watch where it goes. Mushers release a dog and then go with them. That's real dedication!
