No puppies are ugly... I do think the breeder is stupid for doing it. But they certainly aren't ugly... Some labradoodles are actually pretty cute. Too bad they tend to be dumb as a box of rocks...

Is it even possible to register these dogs with UKC? I checked and there are no Labradoodle breeds listed at UKC's web site
PS: There almost as ugly as 1stretrivers avitar, sorry Steph.....i had to .....

kb, I doubt they're UKC registered with the UKC we know, although the parents might have been. But it wouldn't surprise me to find out that some other "upstart" kennel club called something else with the same initials uses UKC to try and lend legitimacy, sort of the way the Continental Kennel Club uses CKC so it looks like the Canadian (legitimate) registry. Most of those other registries were started by people that were banned from AKC, UKC etc. for things like falsifying registrations. Those 'other' registries will also register anything you want, from a cat to a goat, if you send in a check.
That's why people here call the Continental group the "ConKC". The UKC they're registered with probably stands for Uninformed-buyer Kennel Club....LMAO.

I thought the pups were kind of cute! I have a good friend who has a "Griffador"(our made up term) Shes a GWP x Lab and shes a cool dog. Smart as a whip, however, Ive dealt with this cross before in training and they are not mentally sound. She got the smarts of the lab and the work attitude of the gwp. But shes all bristly-its funny-looks like a black GWP.
Labradoodles OTOH are not attractive to me and all Ive dealt with,also mentally unsound and dumb as a box of rocks like Kristie said.

I've been taking a dog with me to the kids' baseball practice. In the last two days, I'ce had one person tell me they have a labradoodle and one a goldendoodle "and it's registered...it's a cross between a golden and a full grown poodle." :roll eyes:
Thursday, I'll prob have to suffer hearing "I want/have a silver lab".
Last week I shocked a boy that I went to school with when he offered his dog for stud...I said after you get some DNA tests, X-rays for OFA, and run hunt tests and title, we could talk. His response "all that? all I wanted was a puppy".
I wish people would do some research.
