It's obvious that making a tax law to take away the AIG bonuses after the fact is a smoke screen to divert attention away from the criminal negligence of the Robert Mugabe ooops I mean Obomo administration. You gotta love Obomo's "Aw shucks, I'll take the blame" teleprompter speech, you can bet his trifling azz wouldn't be taking the blame if he actually had anything to lose by saying that.

Disgusting wanna-be actor, that's what he is, prancing around thinking he can fix his falling approval ratings by getting hisself invited to the talk show circuit. Next thing you know he'll be back on Oprah pandering to the lowest common denominator that elected him. Maybe if he did a little less show boating and a little more study of the issues at hand, he wouldn't be such an epic failure.

We're being governed by tyrants. AIG's bonuses amount to nothing when compared to the billions upon billions these scoundrels waste every year and the bonuses were perfectly legal. What a diversion. And the Bill that was passed in the House today wasn't even close!

and the media is (disingenuously, would be my guess) asking these same politicians things like, "So, since the American public owns AIG, are they not devaluing their own assets by being so enraged?" and getting the sobering but God's honest truth answer, "Why yes, they are" and they offer us the most meager of scapegoats because they "understand our rage" or some other crap.

Forget liberal, forget conservative, forget democrat, forget republican. They are flavors, not substance.

Forget socialist, communist, right-wing wacko, bleeding heart. They are smokescreens and distractions--and we're putting them up ourselves! What is wrong with us?

All of us spewing hate one way or the other better wise up--we're doing nothing but aiding the status quo and ensuring our enslavement.

I don't know what we can DO right now, but we can certainly keep our eyes and ears open for some truth and tone down all our mostly-self-generated hateful rhetoric (both sides) that will keep us from recognizing it if it makes an appearance.
