Default Tea Party in Baton Rouge

Tomorrow in Baton Rouge in front of the Federal Building. WJBO expects an estimated 50,000 for the event. Hope to see you there!

That really isn't news, I expect we will see very little national coverage, comparatively, about this.

Four people protesting and blaming man for causing global warming, now thats a story and worthy of national coverage.

I am encouraged that the right is finally starting to organize protests at the national level.

So what is being protested? Taxation with representation, or excess Federal aid for New Orleans and Louisiana?

The list is long. I'm going because I don't like the new socialist agenda for the USA. Some are going because they know the current policies will make a bad situation, worse. Yet others are going because they don't think we should be bailing out companies. And some are going because they don't like the political payoffs to the Labor Unions and ACORN.

Working people that are just fed up with the crooks and idiots we have in Washington DC!

These Tea Parties are just the beginning!

Good luck and have fun. I've always enjoyed a good demonstration and sometimes they even have an effect.

Yo, Franco...WOT HOPPENED??? For some reason we didn't hear much about any T-Party in the Dakotas. Seems like the floods are getting all the news time, or some other weather related story.

It was good UB! I would guestimate around 3,000 folks showed up in the rain. Unlike an Obomo rally, you could tell by the business attire that these folks have jobs and left their jobs for the afternoon to hopefully be heard and to protest.

Many carried signs that denounced everything from Foreign Policy to out-of-control Federal spending. No one single issue dominated as I picked up on the fact that we were protesting the current socialist agenda in general.

There were a few hecklers there with their baggy jeans falling off their asses calling us racist. The local TV stations were there, I'm not sure how much coverage we received around the state as I seldom watch any TV except for Football.

It felt good and I sure hope like hell that the Republicans can redefine thier platform. I have little hope if they hold on to too many old ideas that alienate many of the fence sitters in regards to social issues.

Lets just hope we survive Obomo. He may dig too deep a financial hole for us to ever recover.

I hope the water in your neck of the woods is receeding!
