    Default Starting Fires

    Has anyone heard of a Bumper Boy starting a fire ?..... A friend of mine started a pasture fire.

    Yes... I've never owned them, but I have heard that you should never use them in very dry grass...

    If you read the instructions that come with them, it warns against using them in dry grass.

    I have not had a fire, but I have very lightweight rubber type mats rolled up and attached to mine (so I don't forget to carry them out with me) to put underneath.

    Yes I have. A dud blank sparked the very dry grass. Its amazing how fast you can cover 150 yards with a expensive bumper boy going up in flames!!!! Mat is a very good idea.
