Default Do you like dog smell?

Do you like the way your dog smells?

When I come home from work, and the dogs come to greet me, as I sit in my chair watching the news and weather, and they come up to me for their love, pets and attention, I suck in their doggy aroma, and I love it.

    Do you?

    Dog smell? Depends...

Regular, clean (not bathed, just clean housedog) smell? Definitely.
    Puppy breath? Of course!

    Anal glands? Nope.
    Yeasty ear smell? Nope.
Peed on my own leg smell? Nope.
    Rotten tooth breath? Nope.

    You get the point.

I love the smell of dogs feet. Earthy doggie smell, weird I know but what the heck I just got back from Nigeria!

I had the last dog running a land series at a hunt test one fine morning. I was standing with dog on lead after running and one of the judges was chatting with me, about how well my dog had done. I glance down and he is totally hosing down her leg. All I am able to do is thank her and walk away giving the rope a sharp tug. Other folks at the line managed to not explode with laughter until we cleared the holding blinds and were well on the way to the truck. She had different trousers on for the water series.

As for the smell thing, I hate it when my dogs roll in turds, eat turds, or fart. Other than that its all good.
