    Default The new Obama war...

    Today

Obama to seek $83.4 billion for Iraq, Afghan wars
and when he was candidate Obama (my emphasis)...

"Our troops have preformed brilliantly in Iraq, but no amount of American soldiers can solve the political differences at the heart of somebody else's civil war," said the senator. "That's why I have introduced a plan to not only stop the escalation of this war, but begin a phased redeployment that can pressure the Iraqis to finally reach a political settlement and reduce the violence."
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Gen 1:1 NKJV)... 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4NKJV)

No evolution, no monkey ancestors, no big bang!

I don't see the inconsistency. Throughout his campaign he said he would begin an orderly withdrawal of forces from Iraq and he has done that. He also said in the campaign that he would shift resources to the war in Afghanistan and he is doing that also.

And, had Pres Bush done so in 03 when there were no WMD's to be found, we might of had a Moderate Republican in the White House today.

Keith and I both obviously had too much time on our hands today. My excuse is that I just began treatment for pneumonia and Keith is hitting on some serious pet peeves for me and I am sure I am doing the same for him.

13" of rain, flooded fields everywhere, limited yard training, coming in occasionally to get a drink (water that is...although Jeff makes some want for more I suppose)...that is about it.

I have generally enjoyed the opposition posed by Jeff... We have opposing viewpoints often, and yet, you're right, everything remains civil and principle based...

There are others on RTF who are the bane of rational thought and civil political opposing viewpoints. I'll give you three guesses who I'm talking about, but the first 2 don't count.

FWIW, there are some here on "my side" who don't do so well with rational thought, either.

It takes as long as it takes. Sometimes longer.
