Speaking of whining...

Here I go.

I had some surgery on my foot on April 2nd of this year and was hoping to be back to work tomorrow. Well gosh, you may think that a bunionectomy is a trivial procedure, but it's not. They take the head of the metatarsal, shave it down to fix the deformed joint then cut a chunk out of the same bone to reposition it and fix it with screw(s). Two in my case.

Pshaw, I thought. I can get back to work in a week or so, but that is not the case. Though the bone is healing, my Dr. recommended I take another week off. This would be great if I could actually go out and do stuff.

Whine whine whine. Daytime TV is boring. The house needs work and I am still recovering and following orders to cool it.

On the plus side, the dogs and cats are thrilled that Mom is home.

Any good suggestions about Netflix rentals???

Have you watched 24? If not, you can start season 1, all on dvd, with no commercials.
Or, the HBO series, Rome, season 1 and 2, good stuff.

Husband had kidney out 2 weeks last Thursday, went training 10 days later, and to FT. Must be easier than bunionectomy.

Try to enjoy your down time even if you are bored! You've made it this far it would be a shame to rush back to work and earn yourself even more down time.

Netflix is definitely the way to go!!

Was the nephrectomy open? If so, wow, kudos for courage!!! I've seen them and the 12" incision is pretty scary.

24 for sure, not the kind of thing I usually like, but now total Jack Bauer fan. First time we watched, on dvd, did not get off the couch all weekend.

Dick is fine, yes open, big nasty incision with staples..... Good pain meds, though.

Right now,, Rick (Brooks son) is gettin ready to marry Ridges daughter!!

Ridge cant stand Rick,, so he donts want his little girl to marry the creep!!
Rick is only Marryin her for revenge at Ridge!!

Ridge in rRcks mind has always treated Brook(Ricks mama) like adirt worm WELLLLLL,,,,Ridge got Rick on computor tape tellin rRdge how he plans on makin him squirm evertime hes around the family by huggin and a smoochin her!!

Well... Rick found out that Rdge has this on recorded file,, and now has perty much conviced Ridges daughter to run away with him and elope!!before Shes finds out what a real turtle turd he really is!!

Its gettin really good now!!

Ya really should take an extra week off with yer foot and all,, and mebe even Gooser could come up yer way with sum popcorn too!!!

Theres nothin better fer footy pain than to melt some butter in that micro wave thing then soak yer tooties in that warm butter!!

If ya kin suck yer own toes,, Thats just a added benifit!!!
