Fox Red Labs...

I was looking around at possible future stud dogs, and ran across some "fox red" labradors. They are technically yellows, but they look like shorter haired Golden Retrievers...??

I guess I'm unfamiliar with the fox red, and the "white" labradors too. Though I have seen some light yellows... the whites, silvers, and fox red labradors just seem like they have something else in their pedigree besides just Labrador...

Tell me I'm crazy and the red is a common color for labs...?? I think we've exhausted the silver lab discussion and not gotten anywhere useful.

Is there a mild controversy on the white and reds??

that little girl placed in an upland trail at 16 weeks, an upland winner's trial at 19 weeks (next youngest dog was 16 months!)

The red color is the oldest of the yellows. They have been around forever, not just showing up. There are a number of very good ones.
