Default Carolyn Smith - Rest in peace

Carolyn Smith, loving wife of Maury, passed away this weekend

Carolyn was a great competitor and gave much to the field trial game.
She was a sweet and generous lady
The sport has lost a fabulous person
Everyone who knew Carolyn has lost a friend
And heaven has gained an angle

I first met Maury and Carolyn Smith in 1985, after volunteering to be a bird boy for their pre National training group. Carolyn had Ragtime qualified, what a great dog Rags was. Carolyn was grateful for my help and sent me a gift I still treasure today. The Smiths have been my friends ever since. I will miss you Carolyn.

Thank you, DeWitt, for posting this sad news. I recall vividly Carolyn going out out of her way to make us feel welcome when we moved to Montana. She was a splendid cook and a sweet, sweet soul.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Maury Smith Family from Bill and Sarita...
