    Default New Strain of Parvo Virus Identified

    This is a new strain of the virus identified at Oklahoma State University, there is no cross protection from existing vaccines and the Parvo virus serological tests do not reliably detect the virus

    Ed-

    Is there any way to check when that was released. I suspect that it is at least a year old....maybe older. There also was a "oh by the way" in the conversation the first time I saw this but I don't recall what it was. I think it was something that made the episode much less worrisome than the report would lead you to believe. However, CRS struck again.

    I received an e-mail from my ex-partner who is currently employed in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry, it was copied from an e-mail to him from some of his contacts at OSU and dated March 2, 2009.

    Got it. The press release is almost 18 months old and the discovery is older than that....like 8 years older.
