"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Well, then we have to get outraged about the lies before the Pelosi lies: that would be the reasons to go into Iraq espoused by a certain administration.
Pelosi was elected by folks from California. They have a former body builder as Governor.
If you want to get outraged about congressional politicians who lied, we would have to go back to the 1800's. Or go back to the espoused reasons for the Iraq war.
No one who cares about this country wants any one person now serving in Congress to ever serve again. It isn't about Republican vs. Democrat, or conservative vs. liberal. It is about a Congress who wants just to get re-elected and will take any money, from any lobbyist, to do so.
By trying to divide the American people into liberals vs. conservative, or Republican vs. Democrat, they just keep getting themselves re-elected while taking big money from lobbyists.
If folks still think that pretending to be a conservative or liberal, a Republican or Democrat, is somehow making a difference, well, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.
The people in Congress and in both parties only want one thing: to get more powerful, to get more money, to be famous.
The lemmings are people who stick to one party or one philosophy, and then think they make a difference.
The stupidity of people who think it matters whether a so-called Democrat or a so-called Republican says or does something so-called stupid is beyond me.
Your country has been taken over by people who view Congress as a life-long, career position. It's a job. Not one of them will stand up courageously for their beliefs. They only want to get re-elected, no matter their party, and will take money from anyone or everyone to hold onto the job.
Ronald Reagan increased the national deficit by 25 percent. A zillion Democratic presidents did the same.
Anyone who thinks Democrats are different from Republicans or vice-versa is living in a fantasy land.
Or quite possibly....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYIC0eZYEtI
One cannot reason someone out of something they were not reasoned into. - Jonathan Swift
I guess I have a few questions kinda, since you seem to be 'kinda' an expert on U.S. politics:
And you know this....how? Did you get a private briefing from Saddam or some other high level Iraqi about their WMD capacity? My point is, I believe at the time, everyone in the legislative and executive branches believed Iraq had WMDs and was harboring terrorists involved in the Sept. 11 assault.
If you don't stand for something, you stand for nothing. If folks still think that pretending to be a conservative or liberal, a Republican or Democrat, is somehow making a difference, well, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.

Hmmm...you aren't even a U.S. citizen? Is your country better? Tell us where you're from and why your country is so much better. This country may not be perfect, but it's the best we've got. We just need another leader like the author of some of my favorite quotes:Your country has been taken over by people who view Congress as a life-long, career position. It's a job. Not one of them will stand up courageously for their beliefs. They only want to get re-elected, no matter their party, and will take money from anyone or everyone to hold onto the job.
Thomas Jefferson. Most of those were written around 1802.1. When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
2. The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
3. I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
4. My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
5. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
