Gooberment Motors...death of GM

Formerly, General Motors. Announced today, the Federal Goobs are now going to run the new company, Gooberment Motors.

First, they just wanted to bail them out, now they want to run the whole enchlada. Possible tax breaks for folks that buy new GM cars and trucks?

Can they force Ford to do the same or maybe the better question is; can Ford compete against trillions of dollars, money the tax payers are going to have to borrow to bail the UAW out, thanks to our new administration?

In my book, the death of the domestic auto manufactorers is the death of Capitalism in the U S A. Instead of letting the the auto market work out their self-inflicted crisis, Big Brother had to jump in and kill it!

Just watched an interview by Gwen Ifill with Dave McCurdy (President for Auto Manufacturers) and Daniel Becker (founder of Safe Climate Campaign). Becker made it quite clear to McCurdy that he had his testicles in his 'Man Purse', at one point even stating that the 'Auto Makers' would produce what the gooberment wanted....."after all, we own them"

this could really hurt NASCAR, the same way it did with Indy Car racing. Open wheel racing in America used to be dominated by Chevy-Ilmor engines and Ford-Cosworth engines until both companies scrapped those divisions..the Indy 500, the Great American race are now run with Toyotas and Honda powered engines

The government is now shutting down successful Crysler dealerships and bailing out failers. Things are getting weird.
I know the libs have a perfectly rational responce to this .
