Code3, you may want to check the timeline on the government takeover of the banks and GM etc.
That was another one of W's brilliant ideas!! I don't want to speak for Jeff's party affilliation, but I don't believe he is a member of W's party

Bush gave them money sure, which most here dont agree with. But Obama is taking it to a whole new level. Telling companies what they can pay their employees, telling CEO's they are no longer the CEO. government control at its finest

I did not agree with giving the companies any money. It just dragged out the inevitable.

I also do not agree with the government owning majority stakes in these companies and attempting to run them ie. influence who has dealerships. In the end we will have to pay for the sins of this administration and the last. Although this administration's bills are going to be much higher.

The day will come when those that are in support of Obama will have to acknowledge that he is the most destructive president we have ever had.
