    Default Tales Of The Cocktail Convention

    Heading there this afternoon for the party at the Sazerac.
    I want to try and sample everything!
    Driving back in the morning.

    Growing up in the Big Easy, we love our exotic cocktails!

    Are you thirsty? Check these out;

    Mark your calendar Mike, the Southern Decadence Festival is coming up Labor Day weekend. I am quite sure you would not want to miss it.

    Yeah, I'm sure! While I was there, my wife flew down for a short visit, all looking forward to breakfast at Brennans, a morning of antiquing, and lunch at Court of two sisters......then we realized it was Decadence parade!

    NO WAY, NO HOW, in HE** did we go NEAR the Quarter! Bummer of a trip.

    What a place, though! Best food in the world.

    I would have thought you were more tolerant. It's not like they were going to bite

    buuurrrp...

    The Sazerac was made the official cocktail of the City Of New Orleans vis the State Legislature.

    Never did find the Grey Goose hospitality area. I did find the Cointreau area and they were mixing it with various Tequillias like Patron and Don Julio. more tomorrow I need to lay my head down...

    Hats off to the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce for creating a Distrillery/Spirits convention that was open to the public!

    Just about all the major liquor companies where there bring with them the top mixoligist from around the country. The public could buy passes to the exhibits/parties they wanted to attend. I was able the get a Media Pass which got me into just about all the events.

    All the major French Quarter restaurants were full as well as all the hotels. A great way to escape the brutal summer heat!

    I'm not a Gin drinker but my favorite was a Bombay Gin Fizz with fresh pomogranite, celantro and lemon!
