    Default Starting a Puppy Right?

Just curious to see if anyone knows much about the Bill Hillman Video? I Have a 10 week old puppy who has drive to go, but when she gets there all she wants to do is lay down and chew on the stuffed duck. I have tried the rope and treats, but no retrieving. I am lost on this one?? My first pup was so easy to start! Just didn't know if the vid would help in my case or not?

Not familiar with Bill Hillman but Jackie Mertins Sound Beginnings DVD is excellent.

I think the Bill Hillman video is good. I don't know if it will address your specific problem though. The dog in the video is very compliant, which I guess is the point of the video.

Good Quote. I have the Hillman dvd as well and it is very compliant puppy.
Stop with the retrieving and just work on ob. Throw a few dummies and walk your dog away from them. That is the classic non-retrieve! Helps promote steadiness. This is just a phase and I'm sure it will pass. You could play fetch in a hallway with another object or something. Hope this helps.
