Question New England Firearms/Alfa Starter Pistol Info

Does anyone know where one can buy a New England Firearms Starter Pistol? Every place I have looked is backordered. Is this pistol even in production anymore?

Some suppliers have switched to carrying an Alfa Starter Pistol and I am wondering if any of your RTF'ers are familiar with the pistol and have any opinions on its quality.

    Thanks,

The NEF .22 Caliber Blank Pistol was manufacured by H&R 1871, Incper gundogs online and an earlier thread had HR purchased by Marlin, then Remmington and they no longer make the NEF .22 Caliber Blank Pistol. They are however repairing them.

    Joe,
I appreciate the info. I have gone through many websites in my search and all claim the gun is "back ordered", but still give you the option of buying one. I am still curious as to whether anyone in this sport has tried the new Alpha. It looks like a rugged and heavy pistol so it would probably stand up.

I have an Alfa 209 and like it a lot. I have only had it a few months though so I cannot talk about how it will hold up but it seems very well built. Flawless so far....so good I am actually thinking about putting a scope on it

My training partner and I each bought Alfa 209 pistols last winter after having used them all last year while weekend training with our pro. We figured if they held up for them with heavy, daily use, they were good enough for us. So far, so good. Couple squirts of WD 40 and keeping it clean regularly and they work like new.

Russell Sports has a great inventory, including the NEF Starter Pistol. Unfortunately they will not ship the pistol to the USA due to the excessive amount of paperwork they have to fill out in order to ship it. I have be PM'd by someone willing to sell me one. If you are looking for something, just ask on RTF. Someone is always there to lend a hand. Thanks for everyones help and suggestions.
