    Angry Health care for congress?

Health care that is good enough for us but not obama or congress? What are your thoughts.

    FINALLY...THE $50,000 QUESTION WAS ASKED!
YESTERDAY ON THE "ABC..OBAMA SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE"......OBAMA WAS ASKED: "MR. PRESIDENT WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM AND JOIN THE NEW "UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM" THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON ?

OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND DIDN'T ANSWER IT!

A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS ... WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT!

IT WAS ALSO ANNOUNCED TODAY ON THE NEWS THAT THE "KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL" HAS WRITTEN INTO IT THAT CONGRESS WILL BE (FROM THIS GREAT HEALTH CARE PLAN) EXEMPT !

Hell no the democrats don't want to be part it. Can you imagine Nancy Pelosi having to stand in line with a bunch of illegal aliens waiting to see the doctor?

Why should they change their plan to that of everyday people. They will have the best care in america for the rest of their lives. Sure they want us to believe that its the best option for us, and uneducated people will believe it because they hear the magic word "free". But this free comes at a cost to the honest hard working american that has earned his/her health care because they were proactive in getting an education, or getting a decent job. Have we not found out that these universal care and support systems don't work as planned, ie. WELLFARE, MEDICARE. I am scared to see what will happen to the America I have grown up in when our elected officials try to impose on us something that they themselves do not accept. Sounds alot like socialist thinking to me.

I have no objection to our elected officials keeping their existing plan, as long as the taxpayers only provide the "basic" plan, and the elected officials pay for added coverage out of their own pockets.

If universal care eliminates insurance companies, who will provide the added coverages?

I don't think that elected officials should receive benefits befitting "royalty". I believe that was an important part of our founding fathers' ideals ... that elected officials were servants of the populace, not the other way around.

The argument has always been that these brilliant individuals could make more in private industry. They can always serve in government for a limited period of time, and that will probably serve their private industry resume quite well. Personally, I'd rather see them prove themselves in private industry first! They might learn how to live on a budget and understand the impact of taxes on John Q Public. Anyone who believes a tax on corporations will not filter down to the consumer, has got to be missing something.

    From another list:
Congressman John Fleming a Louisiana physician has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same health care plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). http://fleming.house.gov/ .

I had no trouble getting to the website. There is also a video of Fleming presenting his House Resolution 615 to the House: Brief & to the point ...

Whether one believes that a government enforced health care program is desirable or not, there seems no reason why our elected officials should be exempt from whatever law may result.

For over 30 years I was a USDA-Agriculture Research Service employee we used to have a high option that gave better benefits, but there is only a Standard Option now. I hope Congess and the Senate only have the Standard Option. After so many years of marginal pay the big perk finally gives me the same plan at the same rate asit cost when I was working about $14 per month.

Last month I as in the local hosptal spending 4 days in Intensive Care after getting home the bill was $26,000 which I was billed $200 my portion.

FYI. It is my understanding that Congress is authorized to receive treatment at Military Facilities with no cost share.
