What is your idea of 'bottom end' ....

All I know is bottom end rot is caused from to much to drink.
Just for the record I have very fine dogs. Some of the best in the whole country....or at least on my own block anyhow.
Mine would be best desribed as "GRIT"

It's one of those words that everyone likes to use, but don't know how to put a definition to it. For me, 'bottom' is how hard you can push the dog before he 'hits bottom'. Some dogs have a lot of it and some have very little. The more bottom the better provided the dog is smart on top of it and not just wacky about retrieving.
