Recylcling Your Appliances

Now, this could be a useful program for the "stimulus". Seems relatively easy to implement.
Too bad I needed a new fridge last year. But there's still an old freezer in the garage (at least 30 years old & still running) which has more dead birds (for training) in it than people food.
I'm amazed at how much more electricity these old appliances use (according to the article). The tag on my new fridge said that it costs only $44/year to run at 8 cents/KWH.
However ... the electric company told me that the new LCD TVs use 2X the electricity; and plasma 3X ... as the old-fashioned TVs. Might actually make a market for old TVs.
