Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.

This bill was introduced on Feb. 24. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.

You seem to mistake me for a non-lifemember of the NRA who just renewed my CWP, UB! But before we all get our panties in a bunch, I decided to check this out. Both the official web sites of the House of Reps and Senate have NO RECORD of a Senate bill 2099 from the current or recent congress! The closest thing was from the 103rd congress s2099 than eliminated restrictions on medicare lab competition. Nothing remotely close to tax reporting or gun tax.

this appears to be another far-right scare tactic. Gotta quit calling "wolf" so often, or people are going to start voting democratic. Oh, never mind.

If I'm mistaken, PLEASE direct me to this legislation, and I will be all over my congressmen like a stripe on a skunk!

The bill went down in flames 9 years ago. It has not been resurrected.
