Iran No Longer a Threat?

but I can't help but wonder how you can go from considering Iran as an extremely dangerous foe to a county that is not longer considered much of a threat in a few months time.

Wasn't it just a matter of weeks (or less?) that the question of additional sanctions was raised, and Russia said they would vote against it in the Security Council? Then Iran is going to come to some kind of conference discussing what they are willing to concede to do. Seems like less than 2 wks since the latter development.

According to ABC News, BHO's decision to close the missile shiled was leaked by the Czech President, and caught the White House by surprise. It left them scrambling to get BHO out in front of the cameras to give an explanation.

BHO (or was it his teleprompter?) said this move "will make us safer."

New York Times:
Iran agreed on Thursday in talks with the United States and other major powers to open its newly revealed uranium enrichment plant near Qum to international inspection in the next two weeks and to send most of its openly declared enriched uranium to Russia to be turned into fuel for a small reactor that produces medical isotopes, senior American and other Western officials said.
