GDG Rough week at work

[Fowl Play WA]

On Monday we lost a student. He was hit by a car walking across an insanely busy road. No one will ever know why he walked out in front of the car, but he died about 8 hours later.

Wednesday a former student took his life. This young man graduated 10 years or so ago, but at least 1/3 of the teachers had him in class when he was there.

Last night one of our football coaches and a parent died of a heart attack. This hit the boys in school really hard because so many of them had this guy as a football or baseball coach growing up, and his son had a ton of friends. The football team decided to play tonight, but I don't think it was an easy decision.

Wow that is not a good start to the year. Hope things calm down! Prayers sent!

The boys decided to play last night, and ended up winning 34-16. I'm sure it was one of the toughest nights of their lives, but they did the town proud.
