I was born at an Army base in Heidelberg Germany and my dad was stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen TX a few decades back, does that count ? I always like to know where different military bases are at, guess some things never leave you...

I am not military, but my family has a strong military background.

My grandpa was a marine in WWII, Korea, Vietnam.
My dad was air force in Vietnam.
My oldest brother is an army Maj, West Point grad currently in Iraq.
My next oldest brother is former army airborne infantry.
My next oldest brother is an air force fire fighter stationed in NJ.
    I am just a bum...
My younger bro was ROTC in high school, but can't go military due to meds.
I have many cousins in the military also.

I have the utmost respect for all of you. I wish there was a way to show my gratitude for all of those who have fought, past and present for all of us.

Was approved to retire this past July, but changed my mind at the last minute and decided to stay in for 3 more. GSCS (E-8) USN.

It takes as long as it takes. Sometimes longer.

5.5 years of service in the Army. (1987 - 1992)
    Desert Storm veteran.
Wife and I decided that land mines and explosives weren't the greastest of long term career choices.

A special thanks still goes out from me to all who serve their country and leave their families behind to do it. If you have never done it, you can't fully appreciate it.

Home of one of the greatest international skeet shooters of all time MSgt Matt Dryke, got to watch him shoot on a couple of different occasions and he rarely missed, always thought it would be fun to have him shoot flyers at a field trial except you would only hear one pop because he wouldnt need the second
