A $20 MILLION budget item stuck in the DEFENSE APPROPRIATIONS BILL to partially fund some kind of Teddy Kennedy memorial school or some other BS.

Hell, have the fricking Kennedy's write the damn check or your wife, a$$hole.....it's a tax write-off for god's sake.

I'm offended as hell that taxpayers dollars are going to ANY Kennedy memorial.

I have been in support of both a germane restrictions on amendments to congressional bills. If a bill is a defense procurement bill, riders (earmarks) to the bill must be also for defense procurement. The non germane stuff is where we get into trouble. A lot of garbage wouldn't see the light of day if it was in its own stand alone bill.

I am also in favor of a presidential line item veto. Congress won't pass that since that would be sure to cut somebody's pork.

Someone else should be allowed to make the call on line item veto and term limits. Everyone knows 2 things: we need both of them and congress will never approve them.
