    Default G20 aftermath

I couldn't believe the disparate coverage of the protestors, and the actual damage estimates. Violence and protest consumed around 80% of the local news coverage of the entire G20 summitt. This am, the final tally was 84 arrests for disorderly conduct and failure to disperse, and a whopping $50,000 damage!!

My first thought was, my wife can do better than that backing up the minivan! And how many arrests occurred in LA, Dallas, Detroit or any other major city over that same time span? Pretty tranquil if you ask me.

I heard the Pirates tried to sign the Japanese Prime Minister after seeing him only bounce the first pitch ONCE, but the pirates mgt couldn't match his Japanese gov't salary.

I don't recall seeing reports of damage or violence in the 9/12 demonstrations?

Did anybody see anything about that?

The is more damage and arrests than that after a Bedlam Football game party (Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma).

I grew up in Detroit back in the 1960's. It really saddens me to see what that once great city has become. I'm glad you find entertainment value in it.

On coverage of the G20, thankfully I've been too busy to see any of it.

I lived in Plymouth and Ypsilanti too. Ypsi isn't much to brag about either... The whole Detroit Metro area is going down the tubes.
