    Default Live birds

I don't know if I am doing my searching the wrong way but I have not been able to locate a source for live birds. We have a hunt test at the end of the month that will be shooting a live flyer for JR's and I really need to get Kona reacquainted with a fresh kill. Can anyone direct me to a source for the west central area of Florida please

Contact the club that is hosting the test and find out where they are getting theirs from.

They might even be doing some practice.

You forget, you live in FL, unless you live very North, they isn't much of a chance for any live ducks, unless you find another AM like yourself that has a few. Randy Simpson in the supplier for all of the tests down our way. But, he will need to bring you a large quanity so that's out.

If I was you and needed a few live ones, I would catch pigeons. (use search to learn how)

There is a fellow who lives a few hours away from you who may be able to supply you with a few live chuckers. That should work for you.

PM me and I will give you his name and number.

Where are you getting them come hunt test time? Is it possible to get some from the same place right now?

If not, then you might have to settle on using pigeons and/or frozen ducks.

I did see my first sign the other day (think it was at small town hardware store) advertising live ducks.

Don't golf courses typically view waterfowl as nuisances? Wonder it they'd let you trap some (not even sure if that's legal, but might be somethign worth looking into). Same goes for checking with pest/critter control folks.

Our club just took shipment of a bunch and is probably cranking up the gas chamber as we speak in preparation for the hunt test tomorrow. If you were closer, I'd say you might could have worked something out.

Your best bet is to find a place or person that does tower shoots, Quail hunts, ect, and see if they can tack on some ducks to shipments that might be coming down into the state.

Yes I'll be at the CFHRC training day. I was looking for some flyers myself. If I am able to come across any I'll bring some extras on Sunday.

Nicole we could arrange a day to do pigeons if you're willing to drive up to Ocala area. Let me know if you're interested. I'll be in Okeechobee too but Fisher doesn't need much convincing on live birds We just do the live pigeons cause it's fun!
