Speaking of Snakes

My wife, who is now running her own dog has a fear of snakes and wants a pair of snakeproof boots. I would like to get her a pair of waterproof ones, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Don't you live where it is too cold for snakes? What about snake proof chaps?

Most snakes around here are water snakes, black racers, garter snakes, an occasional water moccassin, or copperhead. But my wife is also one that climbs up on top of the kitchen counter at first sign of a mouse. So, if she wants boots, I'll try and get her boots.

Steve, I bought the Redhead non insulated 17 in boot from Bass Pro Shops , they usually have them on sale just before Xmas at 99.95 normally 129...I tried the Rocky brand boots and they were very clumsy. I wear them during dove season and spring turkey season,thats why I got the non insulated ones, and yes they are waterproof. the same boots from Cabelas are around 125 -145 too....you can always get her the snakeproof gaiters from Cabelas,two of my older brothers use them in Texas and they like them because they can remove them and still wear their boots..

Thanks, I was looking at the Rocky's (that's usually what I wear in boots) but was also looking at the Redhead's. Just thought that it would be best to ask the people with experience like yourself.
