I don't get it. How can the establishment media and the Democrats say the Baucus Bill scored well and is cost positive health care legislation? By running a con game, of course. Yesterday, the CBO scored the Senate’s version of Health Care, the Baucus bill. The verdict: the bill will cost $829 billion yet knock $81 billion off the federal deficit. Does that make sense to you? Not if you’ve been able to cut through the propaganda. The establishment media and proponents of ObamaCare are absolutely giddy at the CBO score because they think they have rescued Obama from another of his health care lies…that any health care reform bill he signs will be deficit neutral.
The Democrats are smoke and mirrors, folks... that's what it’s all about. And they think the American people are stupid enough to buy it. Only those that blindly follow the Anointed One and march in lockstep with liberal fascism are buying it because anyone with even a modicum of logic isn't. How does an $800 billion plus program save $81 billion dollars? It doesn't. Back to smoke and mirrors. Democrats plan on paying for this socialistic monstrosity through massive tax increases ($506 billion as listed in the fine print) and massive cuts to Medicare (more than $400 billion) at the same time they massively expand enrollment into Medicaid (the health care program for the "poor", causing an even more costly unfunded mandate on fiscally strapped states). Welcome to Communism -- spreading the wealth, confiscation of income through massive taxation, mandated participation, and government control over your very life...all under the watchful eye of Big Brother.
Also, the Baucus Bill will still leave 25 million uninsured. I thought the reason, given by Obama and the Democrats for blowing up and destroying our current health care system was to get the uninsured insured. So much for that lie.
I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that the Baucus Bill is only a draft outline and is not written with detailed legislative language. Yet, the supposedly non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) scored it. Why? Did it have something to do with the director of the Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, being called into the White House in July for a closed door meeting with Obama and his advisors? Remember, prior to this the CBO’s score of the House health care bill was not favorable cost wise. I believe Obama wanted cooperation in order to push his agenda of control, not truth… but you decide.
Don't forget folks, the CBO historically underestimates the cost of legislation. Their cost projections should really be starting points. Remember, the CBO years ago said Medicare would cost $12 billion by 1990. It ended up being $107 billion – nine times the government estimate. So, that $829 BILLION cost projection for the Baucus bill will realistically end up a whole lot more.
As bad as the Baucus bill is, the House Health Care Bill is even worse. The Dems in the Senate will try like hell to ram through their version and then the two bills will have to be reconciled (behind closed doors in committee without transparency). Of course, the Senate bill will move even farther to the left when the House bill is incorporated. For example, the House bill is still seeking a way to include illegal immigrants. Nightmare!!! You can bet there will be some type of public option, co-ops or trigger in the final version...all of which will lead to a government total takeover of health care through incrementalism. The only way to avoid it is to stop Congress from passing health care reform at this time in any version. Tell them you will not support any version of Health Care Reform they cobble together because they have proven they cannot be trusted.
