Default NASA spacecraft bombs moon’s surface to hunt for water

Two weeks after ISRO and NASA announced discovery of evidence of water on moon, two US spacecraft bombed the surface of the moon on Friday in a search for hidden ice and scientists were looking for conclusive proof about presence or absence of water.
US space agency NASA’s Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite(LCROSS) crashed into the Cabeus crater floor near the moon’s south pole at 1130 GMT(1700 IST) around 9,000 km per hour, followed four minutes later by a shepherding spacecraft equipped with cameras to record the impact.

According to scientists,”If ice is present in the permanently shaded lunar craters of the Moon then it could potentially provide a water source for the eventual establishment of a manned base on the Moon.”

    And let me guess....

You're upset because we didn't give sanctions enough time to work?

The Bush/Cheney cabal is still running an underground government and is actually looking for oil on the moon as a payoff to their pals at Halliburton?

This is the same type of bomb that Bush dropped on WTC #7 and the levees in New Orleans?

You think this type of indiscriminate violence against defenseless moons is why other interplanetary creatures don't like us?

All you're saying is give peace a chance?
I'll take the river down to still water and ride a pack of dogs.

    how about this one:

obama gets the peace prize the same day he becomes the first world leader to bomb another world. does anyone see the irony?

On a more serious note, living on the moon and its value, is there any?

    Is terra-forming actually possible?

Really, I expect there was the promise of riches from places just undiscovered yet livable. Moons environment, on the other hand, makes the comparison untennable.
