Just to add a new wrinkle to the foreclosure disaster.

In just the past year or so, Chinese products with dismal quality control have poisoned our pets, put lead paint in children's toys, and are making brand new homes uninsurable.

Lordy, the Chinese must be laughing at us all the way to the bank.

China < $200, OEM > $500+.

You might avoid Walmart, but you'll not avoid the corporate sell-out of our country.

Left or Right, we're all to blame.

I avoid Walmart as well. I try not to buy any Chinese made goods. I try to buy American made products whenever possible. However, in certain products, all you can find is "made in China". So many companies have moved their manufacturing to China, it's hard to find American made goods. It's sad we're really not making anything in America any more. We're only hurting ourselves in the long run.

I always wanted a classic Woolrich hunting coat like my Grandfather had from back in the late '30s. When I finally finished school, etc and could afford one, I was disappointed when I got it home and found "Made in China" on the label. Didn't bother to check, as I thought this was an American stalwart. I hope I don't understand this economy we're in very well....because if I do, I think we're in big trouble.

There's more advertisements for drugs, and for lawyers asking if you've ever taken any of those drugs, to call him because you're entitled to money, than there are for anything made in America.
